Ravensburger Farm 24-Piece Puzzleball - I've always been a fan of puzzles and think they are good stimulation for the brain so I buy many for my kids to play with. This one was a nice surprise - the design is nice and the pieces are high quality and made out of thick plastic. The puzzle is actually two halves of a ball that snap together. The backside of each side are color coded to make things easier for your kids if they want (simply split them into two piles before you start). The backside are also numbered should you need help but if your kids are old enough to read numbers, they shouldn't need to use that. The ball comes with a plastic bowl (for lack of a better word) which you use to build half the puzzle ball on. This provides great support and makes it easy to retain the proper shape. Once one side is finish, you use the bowl for the other half of the ball (so you need to fully complete one side, before moving on to the next). My four year old was able to complete this without much help from me at all. My 2 year old son and infant daughter loved playing with this once completed. It rolls really well and stays together. Even when dropped, from a very low height (maybe a foot from the ground)it held together well. But my 2 year old likes to throw it and/or drop it from a higher height and then of course all the pieces go flying in every direction (as one would expect). However, there is never the slightest bit of damage to the pieces. Great toy and a nice change from most puzzles.
